Will be interesting to see how the PWHL looks in 5 or 10 years. It's already more successful than its predecessors.

Fun area to consider. The 60s and 70s seemed to be a glory period for this (AFL, WHA, ABA, NASL), but those leagues were eventually co-opted or folded. I think lower salaries meant that a lot of stars would consider joining a start-up league, whereas now it would be cost-prohibitive to pay them.

I think Caitlin Clark could be the centre of a new league. She should get some influencers together, take some equity and put something together where she’s not constantly being beaten up by ingrates.

I think motor racing is under developed in North America. CART was pretty wonderful in the 80s and 90s, and was basically wrecked by Indy Car. There could be room for something.

There are a lot of fun byways here. The CFL actually used to get some decent cable coverage in the US and expanded in the 90s to Baltimore, Las Vegas and a few other markets. Most failed but Baltimore was quite successful until the Ravens rolled in and stole their thunder.
